I haven't done a clean install or tried the monitor with a different computer. I've tried Resetting the NVRAM, the SMC and restarting in Safe Mode. My mac isn't recognizing my display again when I plug it in. Can anyone help me get my extended desktop back?

So, I'm confident the problem is with my MacBook, but I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried connecting my MacBook to other monitors with no success. I've tested the monitor with other devices and it works fine. I've contact Apple Support with no success (they had me reset several things that I cannot recall, but have seen discussed in other posts).
